Sokoto APC inaugurates campaign council as Wamakko, Dingyadi lead

Towards its campaign activities billed to commence soon, the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto state on Thursday inaugurated a 125 member state Campaign Council with Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as Chairman and the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi as its Director General.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration, Wamakko who represents Sokoto North in the Senate urged party faithful to close ranks and ensure the ruling People Democratic Party in the state is defeated landslide.

While acknowledging the resilience of party members in sustaining the tempo of followership , Wamakko also commended the people of the state for having faith in him and the party.

He stressed that Sokoto remains an APC state while emphasising that no amount of manipulation, threat nor intimidation will stop APC from winning the state come 2023.

According to the former governor ” I cannot thank you enough for your kind dedication and commitment for the ideas of our party which are geared towards bringing purposeful leadership to Sokoto and Nigeria in general.”

Wamakko further remarked that APC was poised to clinching power as he reiterated commitment to rescuing the state out of the woods of bad governance, noting that APC only needed purposeful unity and team work to sail through for victory in 2023 elections.

Other top members of the council include Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu, the APC governorship candidate, Sen Ibrahim Gobir (APC-Sokoto East), Sen. Ibrahim Danbaba (APC-Sokoto South) and Alhaji Chiso Dattijo, the Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission.

Also on the list are Alhaji Idris Danchadi, the governorship running mate, Abdullahi Tafida, Amb. Sahabi Gada, Amb. Abubakar Shehu Wurno and Muhammadu Bello Sifawa as the Secretary.
