Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, Commandant Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Sokoto state has reiterated the command’s readiness to brace for more effective synergy with other security agencies in curtailing crime in the state.
Alfadarai said he will ensure responsive mechanisms were piloted for more strategic operations against emerging security challenges being experienced in the state.
The Commandant stated on Thursday in Sokoto while decorating 67 newly promoted officers of the command.
He said no stone would be left unturned by the command towards combating insecurity given the strategic importance of peace and security in a society .
According to him ” we will do our best within our core mandate of providing security to the people with the active collaboration of other agencies .
” We should know that security is a collective responsibility of both institutional components and the people .
” We all need to support, synergise and cooperate with critical stakeholders to be able to combat emerging security threats affecting our peace and tranquility”, he remarked.
In his remark as special guest , Special Adviser to the state governor on Career and Counselling , Garba Bello Kebbe charged NSCDC in the state to do more in checking the emerging security concerns threatening the peace in the state.
He urged them to remain steadfast, resilient and efficient while commending them for their strategic role in complementing other security agencies to making Sokoto crime free.
In his goodwill message, the NDLEA state Commander, Muhammad Iro described the newly promoted officers as deserving personnel noting that their performances were impeccable hence the promotion.
He said stagnation and lack of motivation were instrumental to low or non performance with attendant low productivity in an organisation.
” Where these happen, the core mandate cannot be achieved by officers”, he pointed out while stressing that promotions must always reflect in performance ” to whom more is given, much is expected.”
Newly promoted Deputy Commandant , Sambo Buda who gave o vote of thanks said their promotion was a call to duty for higher responsibility which he assured would not be toyed with.
” We shall strengthen efforts at reciprocating the deserved gesture through responsive service delivery in the midst of emerging security challenges”, he said while appreciating the Commandant General for finding them worthy of the promotions.
