Thousands of Gusau residents celebrate, commended Gov Mutawalle as GSM services resume in Gusau

 

Thousands of Gusau residents, Zamfara State, have come out to show their appreciations and joy over the restoration of GSM network services in the city of Gusau, state capital of Zamfara state after spending over a month without service.

The shutting of network services was made by the Zamfara state government in collaborations with National Communications Commission fortnightly to help the security operatives launched fight against banditry and those frustrating their efforts.

According to directives given by Zamfara state governor, Bello Muhammad Mutawalle Maradun the shutting of network in Zamfara state was done with all the support of stakeholders towards bringing an end to banditry activities in the state.
Some of the youths interview in Tudun Wada, Gada-biyu, Bakin Kasuwa, Old Garage, Hayin Mai gemu and unguwar Dallatu stated their happiness with the directives of Gov Bello Muhammad Mutawalle of shutting down the network services and restoring the services in particular to allow people get back to their activities.

Umar Sulemain Anka a shop owner at Tudun Wada describes the action as a great sacrifice for the successful operation for the fight against banditry activities in the state, appraising Gov Bello as a great leader with focus and zeal efforts to save lives and properties of ordinary citizens of the state.
Hajiya Amina Musa Mai Shadda of Hayin Mai gemu comment on the activities of Banditry as great challenge that need to be addressed with all sacrifices needed, expressing her joy on the action taken by Gov Bello Muhammad Mutawalle to restore the service now.

The restoration of the service was announced Friday by the state Commissioner for Information, Malam Ibrahim Dosara.

Apart from the restoration of service, the curfew imposed on the state capital had been relaxed and that Gusau Central would now be open for business accordingly.

Dosara said, the restoration of network services would only be limited within Gusau metropolis as other local governments would be reviewed as soon as possible, when the security situation improved.
