Zabarkano Association Of Nigeria has Inaugurates its 193 National and state Executives in a well attended gathering of members in Abuja.
The Inauguration was held in Abuja at the Radio House Conference Hall, Garki Abuja.
The swearing in of the national and state Executives was described as an another milestone in the history of the association, in particular the Nigerian Zarma/ Zabarmawa people in general.
The Secretary General of Zabarkano Association of Nigeria, Dr Lawwali Sani Kasgada, revealed that, “indeed it is long overdue for the Zarma to have stated engaging in an activities like this at the national level given that the level of awareness of many Nigerians about the Zarma/ Zabarmawa is very low even though, it is one of the most important language in Nigeria North – western states of Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara as well as North central state of Niger”.
” Zarma/Zabarmawa have held very important and sensitive leadership positions in those states ranging from commissionership,Speakers of the state House of Assemblies, Choef Judge of the state,solicitor – General and Commissioner of Justice of a state, Shari’a Coyrt of Appeal and High court Judges,etc”.
Dr Lawwali Sani Kasgada said, in addition to producing some of the most renowned business mogul in the oil and Gas sector, Agricultural sector as well as the commodity business sub – sector.
Dr Kasgada revealed to newsmen that with a view to disburse the mind of those that still nurse the kind of perception about the Zarma/Zabarmawa, to let them know that we are people that have always been co – existing with our fellow Nigerian compatriots who mostly hardly differentiate between the linguistic differences of people from the North.
” The news for this kind of association to support the democratic values of our dear nation could have come at a better time than now”, Kadgada revealed.
