The Zamfara Council of Ulamas has appraised the All Progressives Congress APC-led leadership in the state under governor Bello Matawalle as well as the central government under President Muhammadu Buhari with the members pledging to support the APC in the 2023 general elections.
In a statement Signed by Yusuf Idris Gusau
APC Publicity Secretary Zamfara State and made available to news men revealed that.
The declaration was made today in Gusau during a meeting with the state Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shattima Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa.
Senator Marafa informed the Islamic Scholars along with Juma’at Mosques Imams and their Deputies, Muazims and others that his conviction in the Tinubu project is borne out of the presidential candidate’s track record of achievements which are practically verifiable and standing him exceptional from presidential candidates of other political parties.
Marafa said, as a two term governor of Lagos state, Tinubu left an enviable record cutting across economic, social, empowerment and political development compelling Lagosians to send him to the Senate where he did wonderfully well too.
He noted that political beneficiaries of the Tinubu hegemony are also unmatched by the political class of present day Nigeria and that if voted as the next president of the country, all these qualities will be put on a national perspective to improve the living standards of Nigerians and also uplift the nation on the global scene.
He urged them to view Tinubu based on his quality and ability and vote him into the office of the president in the 2023 election for national growth and development.
Responding on behalf of the participants, the Chairman Zamfara State Council of Ulama Sheikh Abubakar Fari and the Chairman of Imams of Jumat Mosques who doubles as the Chief Imam of Gusau Central Mosque, Shiek Liman Muhammad Dan-Alhaji said they are convinced beyond doubt that the APC Presidential candidate is unequalled and will be the next best thing that will happen to the country.
