GOVERNOR MATAWALLE COMMENDS APC STAKEHOLDERS FOR THEIR EFFORTS

 

 

 

Zamfara State Executive Governor, Hon. Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON (Shattiman Sakkwato) has today commended the APC stakeholders in the state for  their steadfastness, focus and commitment to the party.

Matawalle made the commendation during the party’s Maradun Local Government APC Congress which held at the Aishatu Multi-Purpose Hall, Maradun.

He said the decision of the party leaders, followers, supporters and other stakeholders at ensuring that things are done through understanding and as members of one single family stands the party as exceptional in the country.

According to him, the outcome of the party’s congresses have continued to produce consensus candidates in exercise of the oneness and unity that has existed in the political history of Zamfara.

The Matawallen Maradun who expressed happiness in the presence of leaders including former governor Yarima, past Deputy governors, state and national serving and former legislators and other political big-wigs of the state who always come together under one umbrella along with other leaders who have now joined the purposeful leadership of His administration and the APC, said the state now stands a better chance on its way to the promised land.

He reiterated that the current political dispensation in the state is devoid of witch hunting, blackmail, bitterness, sideline, selfishness and all forms backwardness but aims at the continued unity of the political class, progress of the state and Empowerment of especially the youth.

The Barden Hausa who was overwhelmed by the attendance of party members and supporters thanked specifically the delegates for their understanding which culminated in the choice of acceptable leaders and urged them to continue to be law abiding and with the unflinching and undistracted support to his administration promising that on his part, he will continue to meet the people’s desires.

In his speech at the event, Chairman of the state’s Congresses sent by the APC National Secretariat, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Masari informed the delegates that they are in the state for the exercise in fulfilment of the party’s constitution.

Masari said, the team had made available and sold forms to all interested candidates and screened them for the election.

He said, in Maradun, the team was impressed to have seen that consensus candidates which is an acceptable form of electing leaders under the party’s constitution had all been agreed upon making their assignment easier and the exercise smoother and rancour free.

This he said led to the announcement of the agreed names of candidates who were all affirmed by the delegates.

He then commended the party leaders, supporters and the state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle urging the party members to remain united and law abiding.

At the end of the exercise, Alhaji Yakubu Gado emerged as the consensus Chairman and Mallam Yunusa Magaji as Secretary along with other executives.

The Congress was attended by first civilian governor of the state, Senator Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda Gusau, Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Honourable Nasiru Muazu Magarya, Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha, Senator Lawal Hassan Dan-Iya, Former Deputy Governors Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad and Honourable Muktar Ahmad Anka, Honourable Aminu Sani Jaji, the immediate past Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Sanusi Garba Rikiji and Honourable Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi.

Others were Ambassador Abubakar Chika Bunu, Honourable Members of National and State Assemblies, Party leaders and supporters among others
