Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC State Executive Committee SEC today met with the leader of the party, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle presiding and resolved to continue to work as a team with all members of the party in the state under one roof as a family.
Earlier, a formal introduction of all the SEC members was carried out after which the governor noted that the meeting was delayed due to exigency of work particularly in addressing security issues as well as to allow the hosting of Leadrrship Induction Training to the leaders so as to start the administration on a sound footing.
The Barden Hausa who assured his full commitment to the needs, growth and development of the party, urged the leaders to always maintain an open door and give listening ears to all and sundry while expressing satisfaction over the way and manner the Tukur Umar Danfulani-led APC is conducting itself which has made the party more visible within and outside the state and also promoting its chances to success.
The governor similarly appreciated how people of the state trooped out in their large numbers on Thursday, to receive President Muhammadu Buhari whose sympathy visit was however truncated by bad weather and assured that the visit is still on course as the president who apologised to the people and government of the state over his inability to come, promised to make it soonest to the state under a more friendly weather condition.
He assured that he will continue to do his best in making life better for all the good people while going by the manifesto of the APC of ensuring that no one is left out.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani while thanking the governor, maintained that the re-energized APC in the state will continue to support the governor in all ramifications by working closely with the administration and inputing positive workable ideas that will oil and push the state to advancement.
He informed the leader that members of the SEC have started vigorous contact and mobilization among people of the state which is yielding positive results especially with movement of many members that were hitherto in the groups of former governor Yari and former senator Marafa as well as those from other political parties coming to join the mainstream APC and abandoning their former political heads.
He also maintained that no amount of sponsored or self inflicted betrayal and attacks will sway the already established bright chances of the party from now to the 2023 elections and beyond.
The chairman commended the support, loyalty and solidarity he is enjoying from the SEC which he noted, now accounts to the brighter chances of the party throughout the state.
At the end, all participants at the meeting were given the chance to contribute their suggestions which were richly made for the improvement and progress of the party.
