As Muslims round the mark the end of Ramadan, which also mark the beginning of new month of shawwal , some Christians Clergies in kaduna state north western Nigeria have visited the Eid IL fitr celebration ground with the aims of strengthening relationship peace and unity ,harmony and better understanding among the adherence of different faith base organization in the country .
The Team was headed by pastor yohanna buru, the general overseer of Christ evangelical and life intervention ministry kaduna South .
Who pointed out clearly and said, they came to join Muslims round the world to celebrate sallah, as they usually visited them during their Christians festivities Every years.
He said every year, over one thousands Muslims from 19 northern states of Nigeria used to visit him at church to meet,deliberate, interract, dialogue for peace and unity with Christians at Christmas celebration .
He said it became mandatory for him and some other Christian scholars to equally visit Muslims at the praying ground to show them love,cares,as they do to them during Christmas ,new year’s, and Easter celebrations.
Buru pointed that he was invited by the committee of the eid IL fitr preparation as global peace ambassador, and the winner of king Abdullah of Jordan united nation international interfaith week and harmony winner 2022.
The Eid- IL- fitr prayer ground was attended by many Muslims scholars,both Home and abroad including Alhaji sunusi lamido sunusi Emir of Kano former central bank of Nigeria governor ,newly elected governor of kaduna state senator UBA Sani and other Government top dignitaries
Pastor yohanna called on wealthy individuals, politicians, government and Islamic organisations and council of Ulamas, JNI, to equally assist the poor Muslims with food and other items, so as to make the poor celebrate Sallah like other Muslims with joy and happiness.
Buru congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar 111 ,sheick Dahiru usman Bauchi, Sheick Ibrahim elzazzaky, sheick Salihu Mai-Barota ,sheick Dr Ahmed Abubakar Gumi and all Nigerian Islamic scholars for the successful completion of this year’s Tafsir.
The cleric said, this year’s Ramadan season recorded huge success in view of the encouraging participation by various Christian organisations during Ramadan Iftar interfaith breakfast for peace and unity
According to the cleric, this has enhanced inter-faith activities with other religious faithful toward strengthening peaceful co-existence among different faith base organisations.
We congratulate you on the successful completion of the 30 days of Ramadan, the prayers and fasting you offered which include some special night prayers for peace and unity in Nigeria
We should remembered that Islam and Christianity teach us to forgive one another, we should also remember that we are from one family, Adam and Eve.
“We worship one God, we all believe in paradise and hell, we believe in the holy books which are Bible and Quran, as well as believe in the day of resurrection.
Buru called on Muslim scholars to pray for God’s intervention in order to bring an end to insecurity challenges bedeviling peace and stability across the nation.
The cleric also called on Muslim and Christian preachers to pray for Nigeria military that are on peace mission across the globe
Similarly,sheick halliru Maraya one of the Islamic scholar say, peace and harmony is what whole world is talking about .
He also emphasized on the need for Muslims and Christians to always live in peace and harmony
Stressing that, they are happy to celebrate sallah with their Christians friends and brothers.
Responding also is mallan sunusi surajo one of the organisers of the event at murtala squure kaduna who says, it’s the first time for a Christians to joined them celebrating sallah in kaduna to strengthen good relationship and promote peace and unity.
He prayed that may God continue to bless Nigeria to live in peace and harmony
