The Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)has noted with great concern the recent postings of Directors of Administration (DAs) done by the APC-led administration in the state.
The party regrettably observes that the postings that had since taken effect had contravened extant civil service rules.
This is contained in a statement by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, issued to newsmen in Sokoto.
Sanyinnawal said, PDP had expressed dismay on how the postings trampled on the existing civil service rules and regulations.
The PDP also noted that such highly placed postings and redeployments were only supposed to be done by the Head of the Civil Service of the state and not any other Office, public servant, especially in this case, a political appointee.
The statement wondered why the postings were made by the Chief of Staff to the Governor as he was the one who signed the redeployment letters.
According to the statement, such ridiculous mistake should not have been aided and abetted by a high ranking former Civil servant who rose to the peak of his career as a retired Permanent Secretary.
He added that it is additionally embarrassing to the state, that such ignorance of due process was exhibitted by a supposedly distinguished alumnus of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPSS).
The PDP, therefore, calls on the APC Government to find remedies to these embarrassing anomalies by strictly adhering to the laid down civil service rules and regulations in making such postings.
