Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has appointed Sole Administrators for the 23 local government councils in the state.
The development was contained in a statement issued Friday by the governor’s Press Secretary, Abubakar Bawa.

Those appointed the statement said include: Bodinga LGC, Umar Babuga Oro; Gada LGC, Abubakar Altine Kyadawa; Gudu LGC, Umar Maikano Balle; Illela LGC, Sahabi Isa (Wakili); Kebbe LGC, Sanusi Abubakar Kebbe; and Kware LGC, Aminu Moh’d Kware.
Also are: Tambuwal LGC, Bello Salihu Tambuwal; Tangaza LGC, Isa Salihu Bashar; Tureta LGC, Umaru Amadu (Dan Agaye); Sabon Birni LGC, Garba Umaru Kaba; Shagari LGC, Aliyu Atiku Horo And Wurno LGC, Bello Hali Wurno.
Others are: Wamakko LGC, Bello Buba Kaura; Yabo LGC, Sani Shehu Tarno Yabo; Binji LGC, Dan Habi Tudun Kosi; Goronyo LGC, Kabiru Shehu; Sokoto South LGC, Ibrahim Moh’d Dan Yaro; and Sokoto North LGC, Murtala Umarun Kwabo.
The remaining are: Silame LGC, Kasimu Abubakar; Rabah LGC, Salisu Lawali Gandi; Gwadabawa LGC, Muntari Bello Abdulrahman, while the Directors of Personnel Management in Dange-Shuni and Isa local government councils are to continue acting pending the appointment of sole administrators.
However, the statement did not disclose when the appointees would be sworn in.
