S’Court : Gov Aliyu Sokoto says 2023 dusted, 2027 ahead, describes judgement unbiased, hope for common man

Ahead of the next political dispensation for 2027, Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto says 2023 is done and dusted describing the Supreme Court judgment affirming his victory as unbiased, fair, just and hope for the common man.
” Is a testimony that the judiciary is independent and in defence of the rule of law and hope of the common man”
He urged party faithfuls and supporters to closely support his administration towards delivering dividends of democracy inorder to  defend the party’s (APC) mandate in the state ahead of next political dispensation in 2027.
” I call on all and sundry to strengthen commitment towards delivering dividends of democracy to our people ahead of 2027″
Aliyu Sokoto made the inspiring remarks before a mammoth crowd of supporters at a rally in Sokoto on arrival from Abuja after the court verdict upholding his election victory.
He said the judgment was fair and just and in the best interest of the nation and in defence of the rule of law.
” The judgement symbolises judicial independence and a clear testimony that the judiciary is unbiased for giving hope to the common man”, he stressed .
The governor , his political mentor and APC leader in the state , Senator Aliyu Wamakko and other party big wigs were thrilled to a warm reception amidst a long motorcade which received them at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport , Sokoto.
” I also wish to passionately dedicate my victory at the apex court to the good people of the state”, adding that let me call and remind those in opposition and other  aspirants who contested elections with me to know that 2023 is done and dusted. Now it’s time for all to close ranks with our government for the development of the state”, he declared.
According to the governor who seized the space to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their foresight and leadership role,
appreciated the unquantifiable spirit of resilience from party faithfuls and the entire Sokoto people who he noted, were supportive to the journey and success.
While assuring that his government was rededicating itself for a new and prosperous Sokoto state through continued execution of human oriented projects , Aliyu Sokoto disclosed that it was time  to focus on building and repositioning the state to greater heights.
Earlier, the state APC leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko who attributed the victory of Governor Aliyu Sokoto and the party to God, urged those in opposition to uphold and imbibe the spirit of respect and join hands with the state government in the interest of the state and country as a whole.
However, Wamakko said despite the lot of odds, voodoo and political treachery to hijack the party and its popular mandate, the  Supreme mercy of God foiled and took control of the situation leading to the current victory of the party at the Courts
” God in his infinite and supreme mercy, said no and a no forever. God’s no is no. No one can reverse it nor snatch what has been destined by Him”, he said.
According to the Senator and Chairman , Senate committee on Local and Foreign Debts” We need to give glory to God and thank everyone for supporting and been with us in prayers.
” Let rededicate ourselves to doing more for the state to attain greater heights. We are witnesses to the excellent achievements recorded in the first three months of Governor Aliyu Sokoto. We are building on that for the benefit of all”, he remarked with smile.
Also, the state party Chairman, Hon. Sadik Isah Achida who lauded governor Aliyu Sokoto’s leadership urged him not to relent inorder to make some mark of difference in line with the footprints and legacies of Wamakko.
” Today, our resilient sense of opposition had paid off. This is a testimony and a political lesson. Politics of development cannot thrive without a purposeful opposition”, he pointed out.
Meanwhile, the long train of dignitaries , party echelons ,supporters and members who were present at the rally included the state deputy governor, Muhammad Idris Gobir, Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Muhammad Bello Goronyo; former Ministers of Police Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi and Mukhtari Shehu Shagari , SSG, CoS, former deputy governor, Chuso Abdullah Dattijo, Speaker Tukur Bala Bodinga, Hon. Baka Hassan and other state and national assembly members.
