The Sokoto state Commissioner of Police , Ali Hayatu Kaigama has said that the command remains committed to strengthening operational synergy with the Sokoto Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service to ensure a crime free state.
Kaigama reiterated his pledge on Thursday when he received the newly posted Sokoto Area Controller of Customs, Comptroller Kamal Mohammed in his office.
He said the state police command will sustain the existing working synergy between the two organs for a crime free society and Nigeria.
Comptroller Kamal who is in charge of Sokoto and Zamfara states said he would promote an active working relations with the police as a lead internal security agency in discharging NCS primary mandate in the state.
” The two organs are fundamentally established to strengthen measures at ensuring security, law and order as well protecting the economic interest of the country against acts of sabotage and other crime related activities in defence of national development”, he remarked while appreciating the CP and his management team for welcoming him to the caliphate.
