…. IN COMBATING BANDITRY AND TERRORISM IN THE STATE
The newly posted Commissioner of Police to Zamfara State CP Muhammad Bello Ahmad has paid a courtesy call on the Commandant Zamfara State Community Protection Guards and solicited for their maximum cooperation in combating banditry and terrorism in the state.

CP Bello Ahmad who considered the Community Protection Guards Commandant as his former police boss as he worked directly under retired AIG Muhammad Shehu Dalijan in Maiduguri, Borno State; Said he wants to relate their experiences together in dealing with terrorists in the Northeast, to deal with banditry in Zamfara.
CP Bello added that he knows his boss as a fearless and hardworking officer and therefore he is ready to work day and night if only to decimate, arrest and prosecute terrorists and ensure they have no hiding place in Zamfara State.
In his response, Zamfara State Community Protection Guards Commandant thanked the visiting CP for giving him such regards and respect as his former boss and promised to give him all the assistance he needs in achieving a crime free Zamfara State.
That, Community Protection Guards in Zamfara are now well equipped by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, who has now provided 20 Armoured Personnel Carriers, 150 patrol vehicles, attack drones and surveillance cameras and more security equipment will soon arrive.
Consequently, the Police will always have the support of Zamfara State Community Protection Guards anytime they are called for joint operation. That, Zamfara State Community Protection Guards are in synergy with all other security agencies in the state.
The same synergy is hereby extended to the Police. That, I am happy that somebody of his professional competence and operational knowledge of the terrain of the Northeast is now the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State, which is another crime prone zone.
“With you and the current military hierarchy in the zone, I am optimistic that security in the state will be optimised and banditry will be a thing of the past.” Retired AIG Muhammad Shehu Dalijan reiterated. Security forces in the State have degraded banditry and improved security level.
