The immediate past governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Matawalle has sent his condolences to the family of his former Director-General in-charge of protocol, Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf, who died on Monday this week after a brief illness.

Matawalle, now Minister of State for Defence, sent his condolences through a delegation led by Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, Chairman of the state’s chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC.
He described the deceased who was DG Protocol to governor Matawalle as a humble gentleman who carried out his duty with diligence, passion, and trust.
The former governor expressed shock over the news of the passing of the former protocol officer who died as a Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youths and Sports.
He said the late Kabiru Yusuf will be missed and remembered for his good contributions in training all those he came across and also who lived a pious life guided by Islamic teachings which shaped his environment.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased in Jannaatu Firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Matawalle also donated to the family of the deceased N5 million naira cash, 10 bags of Rice, 5 bags of Maize, 5 bags of millet, 5 cartons of Spaghetti, 5 cartons of macaroni and a bag of sugar.
A member of the family, Alhaji Lawali Sani (Lawali Soja), thanked the Minister for the condolence visit, his concern, and donations to the family.
The delegation consisted of APC Deputy State Chairman, Alhaji Hassan Damri, State APC Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Welfare Secretary, Alh.Bashir Idris Ataka, Admin Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Maaji, Youths leader, Hon. Musa Idris Ardo and many party leaders from Gusau Local government as well as APC supporters.
