No fewer than fifteen thousand widows in Southern Kaduna have benefited from the bags of maize donated by the founder and President of the Christian Care for Widows, Widower’s, the aged and Orphans Association, Professor Deborah Ajakaiye.
The Southern Kaduna Coordinator of the Association, Mrs. Felicia John, made this known in an interview at the weekend with The Shield, shortly after supervising the distribution of the grains to the various district Coordinators of the Association.
She explained that the move was to alleviate the suffering of the widows especially as the lock down occasioned by COVID-19 bites harder.
While thanking and praying God to bless the Association’s President and founder over the donation of the bags of maize, Mrs. John, appealed to the well to do individuals in southern Kaduna to do well by assisting widows and the less privileged in the society especially during this trying times.
She said the Christian Care for Widows, Widower’s, the Aged and Orphans Association in Southern Kaduna currently has more than twenty registered widows with all their details.
The Southern Kaduna Coordinator however, tasked the benefiting widows to make good use of the little they got to cushion their suffering.
At least 32 bags of maize were distributed to the 24 districts of the association in Southern Kaduna worth thousands of naira.
