SOKOTO APC CAMPAIGN TRAIN STORMS GWADABAWA FOR SOKOTO EAST FLAG OFF, ASSURED JOB CREATION, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT:

 

As APC continues with its state-wide campaign, the train on Monday stormed Gwadabawa Local Government Area of the state for its zonal rally.

APC gubernatorial candidate, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, announced that a month after his inauguration as a Governor, if elected, he will restore the payment of disabled allowances, Chief Imams of Jumu’at Mosques monthly allowances and job creation which were all neglected by the incumbernt lame PDP-led government in the State.

Ahmad Aliyu stated that by providing the allowances to Imams of Jumu’at Mosques and their deputies, it will ensure they give good upbringing to the younger generation so as to curtel the menace of restiveness among them.

Ahmad Aliyu further explained that, the PDP government in the State was virtually doing nothing to enhance the productivity of the people of the state, he therefore, promised to ensure the welfare of the generality of the people of the state, if elected as Governor come the March election.

Chairman of the Campaign Council, who is also APC leader in the State, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, said APC is selling its good manifesto and sellable to the good people of Sokoto State.

He said the campaign Council had paid a visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III for his fatherly and royal advice.

Sen. Wamakko revealed that the Sultan has concurred with the good plan rolled out by the party.

Director General of the state campaign Council, who is also the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, challenged the government on power in the state to prove to the people of Gwadabawa area of any tangible project executed in the area before seeking for another mandate from the electorate.

Katuka further called on people of Sokoto East Senatorial Zone, to come out en masse during the polls to vote for APC towards bringing succour and the direly needed dividends of democracy to the people of Sokoto State.

Also speaking, Senate Leader, Sen. Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir, said APC is the party to beat, adding,”therefore, people of the state should come out massively to depend their votes to ensure the party emerge victorious during the forthcoming polls.”

He announced his total support to the candidature of Alhaji Ibrahim Lamido Isa, his hopeful successor in the zone, calling on all his supporters to vote for Lamido as Senatorial candidate in the area.

APC Chairman in the State, Hon. Isah Sadiq Acida, went down memory lane on the myriad of invaluable projects executed by the then Governor Wamakko’s regime in Gwadabawa Local Government.

The Chairman later received some 5,575 decampees from NNPP and PDP who joined APC.

Some of the defectors, Alhaji Murtala Maigummi and Hajiya Hauwa’u Muhammad, who spoke on behalf of others said they abandoned their former parties as their leaders lacked focus to drive them as hugely expected.

Other speakers at the occasion included, member, House of Representatives from Goronyo/Gada Federal Constituency, Hon. Musa S. Adar, Senatorial candidate in the zone, Alhaji Ibrahim Lamido Isa, Gwadabawa Local Government campaign Coordinator, also member, representing Gwadabawa East, Hon. Bello Idris, Alhaji Kasimu Alkali, Alhaji Ibrahim Sidi Gwadabawa and APC Chairman in Gwadabawa Local Government Alhaji Umar Sanda Gigane, among others.

They all concurred that APC is the answer in the area and generally in the State.
