My contest is not a do or die affair –Radda

Dr Dikko Radda, Katsina State APC governorship candidate says his contest is not a do or die affair.
”My contest is not a do or die affair. Wherever the pendulum swings at the end of the elections, I will accept it and move on.
”I have the absolute belief that the Almighty God gives and takes leadership to whosoever He wishes at the time He ordains,” Radda said.
The governorship candidate spoke at an interactive session with the Katsina State Indigenes Resident in ABuja.
Radda said:”‘As a Governor of Katsina State, if elected, I will lead an administration that aims to build the people’s future.
”This is why my policy document, which I present , is titled ‘Building Your Future’. Some have asked why I am focusing on the future when there are problems now.
”My answer is that, when  you start to build for the future, you will take actions to fix the issues we face now.”
Radda further said that his strategic policies were not empty promises meant only to garner votes in the forthcoming elections.
”It is also not a document drawn by consultants fully detached from me or my vision. I have invested in developing my strategic policies.
” I have been doing this for more than a year by working with various experts across critical policy areas.
”The Building Your Future Strategic Document is designed to be implemented fully when the resources permit,” he said.
Radda, among other things, said his strategic policies would be anchored by a complete public sector administration reform designed to improve the quality of public services and the lives of public servants.
He added: ”This is with the view to ensuring local governments autonomy. We will ensure adequate education and skills development investments and prepare the youth for the future.
”Social care will assist the most vulnerable in our society through meaningful programmes.
”Our healthcare programme will be driven by quality medical services that are affordable and accessible to people.
”MSMEs will be a driving force in Katsina State and I will establish a dedicated support office for MSMEs.
”Agriculture is a competitive and comparative advantage source for Katsina State and my administration will develop the entire agricultural value chain.”
Radda also said that the current security situation in the state must be improved , promising to work with communities to  build security from the ground up.
He said:”‘My vision for internally generated revenue is not to take money from people but to increase their economic capacities and work as partners through taxes to develop even more wealth for the people.
”Building Your Future will require everyone to participate in our vision and I will call on you to start by contributing to our project.
”We are committed and our sincerity of purpose will be unwavering. I will be responsible for leading the initiatives we have put forward.
” I shall hold everyone to very high standards if given a chance to implement our policies.”
Sen. Ibrahim Idah, the Chairman of the occasion, said the event was organised to give the indigenes of the state resident in Abuja the chance to contribute to electing the best governor for the people of the state.
